MobiMESH: Free from the cables!

MobiMESH s.r.l. develops products and innovative solutions for wireless mesh networks.

Wireless mesh networks are completely wireless networks that free legacy WiFi networks from the need of interconnecting the access points with cables. They can be used in all the scenarios in which laying down cables is not possible or not financially convenient, such as municipal wireless networks (for small and big cities and for areas without a broad band data infrastructure), temporary networks, historical buildings and protected areas.

Many applications can be enabled by a wireless mesh network, from home Internet access for nomadic users to VoIP services, from environmental monitoring to tourist information, and so on.

 

MobiMESH: the company

MobiMESH s.r.l. is a spin-off of the Italian University Politecnico di Milano ; it has been founded in 2008 by a team of professors and researchers together with Voismart , industrial and commecrial partner. The innovative solution developed by MobiMESH come from the research carried out by the Advanced Network Technologies Laboratory (ANTLab) of Politecnico di Milano.
